The 4th Blacksad album, Blacksad: A Silent Hell, is a murder mystery set in the jazz scene of 1950's New Orleans. Detective John Blacksad gets hired by Jazz producer Faust Lachapelle to find the missing pianist Sebastian, suspected of having gotten mixed up with the drugs trade. Thomas is Faust Lachapelle's son. He has formed a friendship with Sebastian's pregnant wife, Hannah, since the musician has gone missing.
