Drew Brees played his collegiate career at Purdue University, setting Big Ten Conference records in passing yards (11,792), touchdown passes (90), total offensive yards (12,693), completions (1,026), and attempts (1,678). As a senior, Brees was the Big Ten Football MVP, and led the Boilermakers to the Rose Bowl, their first apperance since 1967. Before leaving, Brees was named the Academic All-America Player of the Year. In 2001, Brees was chosen 32nd in round two of the NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers, before moving on to superstardom with the New Orleans Saints.
