NHL Bobbing Head Figure Joe Sakic- Colorado Avalanche:It’s only fitting for Colorado Avalanche fans to call Joe Sakic “Super Joe,” for all he has meant to the organization. In 2002-03, Sakic became only the 13th player in NHL history to reach the 500-goal mark while playing for the same club. Now in his 16th NHL season, Sakic began his NHL career in 1988-89 when the club was known as the Quebec Nordiques. Since the franchise re-located to Denver in 1995, Sakic has accumulated a mountain of achievements. He helped lead the Avs to two Stanley Cup titles and eight consecutive division crowns. He is also the club’s all-time leader in career games, goals, assists and points. Sakic’s super play on the ice has earned him a spot on Upper Deck’s lineup of 2003 UD Classics bobbing head figurines- the first figurines to contain a piece of game-used hockey material on the base! Along with the game-used swatch, the figurines feature low sequential numbering, a facsimile signature, nameplate and are packaged with a trading card of the featured player!
