This striking statue was painstakingly recreated from original game files to bring about the most accurate representation of Samus Aran's gunship from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. On the actual gunship, the windscreen and the four engines at the back all light up. There are over 50 LED lights throughout the model, and when you turn off the lights, the LEDs very slowly turn off with a fading-light effect. There are also LEDs on the base that create a circle light movement. The hand-numbered base measures 11 1/2-inches in diameter, and the statue is a limited edition of only 750 pieces. It comes in deluxe, full-color packaging and includes a certificate of authenticity.

The point where the ship connects to the base has a swivel joint. This lets you tilt and angle the vessel to any angle that you want. It comes with a screwdriver to secure the desired position. (Please note that you cannot rotate the model on the joint or you will damage the internal wires.) The LEDs are guaranteed to last for a minimum of 17 days of continuous use.

Samus Aran's gunship plays an important role in the Metroid games, serving as a save point and a destination for many of the self-destruct sequences. Her gunship in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes closely resembles the ship from Metroid II and Super Metroid, and was custom built for Samus on Aliehs III.
