With his true identity hidden by a purple mask and vivid-red helmet adorned with a dragon on top, Pope Ares shows only his long white hair. His body is covered by a white mantle over a blue tunic, and red armor covers his shoulders from which emerge long silver spikes. The human representative of the goddess Athena raises his left palm, casting energy beams as one of the most powerful beings in the universe, on a base featuring the steps of Athena’s Sanctuary.

Originally created in the manga by Masami Kurumada in 1986 and adapted to anime by Toei Animation between 1986 and 1989, the series Saint Seiya tells the story of five mystic bronze warriors, based on constellations and wearing sacred Cloths, that fight to protect the human incarnation of the goddess Athena.
