Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is a successful 1968 feature film with a script by Roald Dahl and Ken Hughes, and songs by the Sherman Brothers, based on Ian Fleming's book Chitty Chitty Bang Bang: The Magical Car. It stars Dick Van Dyke as Caractacus Potts and Sally Ann Howes as Truly Scrumptious. The book, movie, and stage musical take their name from racing cars built by Count Louis Zborowski in the early 1920s. The “Chittys” were so loud that Canterbury, England reportedly passed a bylaw prohibiting them from entering the city.
