Imported from England! Welcome to the Inbetween Place, where Ufuoma Urie’s Little Apple Dolls are an unsettling visual combination of fetus, toddler, and skeleton. Their faces are not fully formed. They look the way they do because they inhabit the place in-between life and death. Here you will find the beautiful 14-inch Ianua. Her name is pronounced "Jan-nu-wa," and it means "door/doorway." It pertains to the month of January, and thus pertains to the Greek god of doorways/beginnings, Janus. Sporting an articulated body and an outfit based straight out of a Gwen Stefani video, she's complete with Little Apple accessories and high quality costume. Ianua had two faces and was a keeper of little beginnings...and endings. She gave away stopped clocks, as gifts to those departing from the land of the living. Ianua's life was not her own. She could not be free. The clocktower of the Great Temple her grandfather had built was her prison but she could not complain. She had many duties. Some said too many. Little Apple Red says the Inbetween became Ianua's home when she wished to be free and her eyes saw things that they were not supposed to... Comes with a booklet explaining the history of the character.
