Life began for Andy Panda in 1939 when cartoonist Walter Lantz released Life Begins for Andy Panda. The adorable little panda was a mischievous youngster and a smash hit with audiences. Woody Woodpecker was introduced in Andy Panda's fifth film where Andy thwarts the annoying antics of the crazy bird. Three of Andy Panda's films were nominated for Academy Awards, and Fish Fry, The Poet and the Peasant, and Musical Moments from Chopin are all regarded as true classics, beloved memories of Lantz' golden age.
