The franchise's roots date back to 1886 when they were known as the Boston Braves. The Braves relocated to Milwaukee in 1953 and spent 13 seasons there before finally moving to Atlanta in 1966. Since 1992, the Atlanta Braves have been the model of consistency with manager Bobby Cox leading the team to 13 consecutive division titles. Although the Braves have won only one World Series title in 1995 within the 13 seasons, they are always a legitimate threat to compete for the World Series.
