Weta Collectibles is proud to present a range of collectible polystone sculptures celebrating the first installment of The Chronicles of Narnia, Disney's The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. These remarkable figures are hand sculpted at Weta Workshop by the same artists that designed the armor, weapons, and many of the creatures for the film.
This marvelous Mr. Tumnus Maquette is an excellent example. It is close to the final form the character takes in the film and has been cast directly off the original maquette used by Andrew Adamson and the Weta team during the design phase. An wonderfully realistic rendering of the retiring faun, it measures approximately 17 1/2-inches tall x 8-inches wide x 7-inches long. It's big and it's amazing! Fearful for his life, the humble faun, Mr. Tumnus, finds himself in a confusing and desperate situation. Part man, part goat, this fragile and shy creature must decide whether to risk a fate worse than death by defying the White Witch or betray the trust of an innocent little girl, Lucy Pevensie, by turning her over to the witch's minions. In spite of his timid nature and fragile stature, Mr. Tumnus finds courage and resolve within himself that he never imagined and has a pivotal part to play in the uprising against the witch's rule.
