Under the supervision of mechanical designer Kimitoshi Yamane, the unique design of the Swordfish II is faithfully captured with fully articulated parts, light-up elements, and highly detailed paintwork. The Cowboy Bebop Swordfish II 1:48 Scale Model Kit features articulated folding wings, a landing gear that can be displayed both retracted and deployed, swiveling ailerons, a telescoping swiveling plasma cannon, an articulated air brake, a removable cockpit unit, a canopy that can be opened and closed, a pilot figure, and a special stand. The Swordfish II measures roughly 14-inches long x 11 3/4-inches wide and requires 3x "LR44" batteries, not included.

The model features ABS construction with parts such as the landing gear made using alloy. Utilizing advanced weathering techniques, it's created with a realistic, vintage appearance. Removable and interchangeable parts let the maintenance hatches open, and lights on the ship and the engine thrust-reverser light up using the included LEDs.
