Electric Tiki presents Doc Savage, the 18th character in its ongoing tribute to Classic Heroes. Clark Savage, Jr., aka Doc Savage, first appeared in 1933 in the pages of Doc Savage magazine. Created by Henry W. Ralston and John L. Nanovic for Street and Smith publications, Doc Savage was created to capitalize on the success of another pulp hero, The Shadow. Writer Lester Dent was the first to fully flesh out the character, and artist James Bama gave the "Man of Bronze" the classic appearance he is known for today. Trained by a team of scientists from birth, Doc grew to almost superhuman abilities… a physician, surgeon, scientist, adventurer, inventor, explorer, researcher, and, as revealed in The Polar Treasure, a musician.
