This Fireball Dragster 1:25 Scale Plastic Model Kit comes all molded in white and has no chrome parts or rubber tires - a real classic! Kit includes new artwork, created by Gene Chambers, as well as 2 decal options for the Fireball or the Californian. Model is comprised of 32 parts and measures approximately 5 3/4-inches long once assembled. Glue and paint required, not included. Ages 14 and up.

The dragster is a specialized type of race car designed to cover a quarter mile drag strip in the shortest time possible and to reach the highest speed doing it. It is basically an engine mounted in a simple chassis, with the engine being a highly modified Chevrolet V-8 with a GMC supercharger. The weight of the engine and driver is centered, as much as possible, over the rear wheels for best traction. The rear tires are usually the extra wide, smooth "drag slicks," and the front tires are usually the slim motorcycle type, mounted on spoke wheels for lightness. This Fireball Dragster is a typical example of the cars used all over the country during the early to mid 1960's.
