KITT is an iconic car that captivated the hearts of many with its sleek stylish design and witty humor. Before the sunny beaches of Baywatch, David "The Hoff" Hasselhoff patrolled the streets as Michael Knight with his trusted vehicle, KITT. KITT was no ordinary Pontiac Trans Am. This black beauty was heavily modified with numerous features that included an extremely durable shell and frame, and control by a computer with artificial intelligence. The car used as KITT in the series was a customized 1982 Pontiac Trans Am sports model that cost US $100,000 to build.
