NHL Chicago Blackhawks Connor Bedard 1:6 Scale Resin Statue:The first overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft definitely lived up to the hype and was recognized for it at the 2024 NHL Awards. Chicago Blackhawks star Connor Bedard was awarded the Calder Memorial Trophy given to the player selected as the most proficient in his first year of competition in the National Hockey League. Since the moment that Connor Bedard was selected No. 1 by the Blackhawks, the expectation was that he would take home this award. The 18-year-old center led the league's rookies in points (61), goals (22) and assists (39). He also led first-year players with 206 shots on goal, a Blackhawks rookie record. A native of North Vancouver, B.C., Bedard is also the youngest Blackhawk to be named to the All-Rookie Team and win the Calder.
