The Star Trek: Enterprise TV series followed the exploits of the crew that manned the first interstellar spaceship named Enterprise, a vessel with the call letters NX-01. The events in the show preceded those made famous by Captain Kirk and the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 in the original TV series. Though the NX-01 was a predecessor to that iconic ship, the NX-01 featured a sleeker appearance and claims an audience all its own.
