Sometimes, you can look at a child and catch a glimpse of that child's future, but who would have known that the small blonde child playing at starfighters with a toy X-Wing one afternoon in this print would grow up to oppose the evil rule of the Galactic Empire, cause its destruction, and bring balance to the Force? This one-of-a-kind canvas giclee features a delightful, whimsical image of young Luke Skywalker as he plays alone on the dunes of Tatooine, along with the planet's two suns, a Jawa Sandcrawler, a moisture farm far off in the distance, the
Star Wars logo, and the solitary yet significant word "Destiny." A limited edition of only 150 unframed pieces, signed by artist Nick Scurfield, the Star Wars Little Luke's Destiny Paper Giclee Print measures 19-inches wide x 13-inches tall.
Giclée (pronounced "zhee-clay") is an invented name for the process of making fine-art prints from a digital source using ink-jet printing. The word was coined to distinguish commonly known industrial "Iris proofs" from the fine-art prints artists were producing on the same printers. The name has since come to mean any high-quality, ink-jet print, and is often used in galleries and print shops to denote such. In the past few years, the word (as a fine-art term) has come to be associated with prints using fade-resistant "archival" inks and the inkjet printers that use them. A wide variety of substrates are available, including various textures and finishes such as matte photo paper, watercolor paper, cotton canvas, or artist textured vinyl.
