The Naboo Sea Creatures are actually Triops, also known as dinosaur shrimp. They're called "living fossils" because this species has existed since the Devonian Period-- 350 million years ago-- during the Paleozoic Era, which took place before the dinosaurs! Triops are among the oldest animal species in existence today.
