Made in the USA by Ontario Knife, this is the current military issue bayonet carried by the Marines in Iraq and other countries, the US Marine Corps Current Issue Bayonet Knife is available to the military historian, collector and outdoorsman who demands uncompromising performance. Features an aggressive clip point blade made of proprietary (they won't tell anybody what's in it) carbon steel with mission serration and sharp top wedge, all with a non-reflective black phosphate coating. Brown Dynaflex rubber handle is ergonomically grooved to reduce hand fatigue, with a positioning access point for quick redirect of the blade position in reduced visibility situations. Handle has oval indentation with USMC on one side and logo on the other. The low noise, multi-carry sheath is made of molded polyester elastomer with ceramic coated aluminum honing rod in the back. Bayonet is held securely in the scabbard by a fitted internal spring friction device. The scabbard is equipped with two load bearing straps and cross straps for multiple carry options. The brown handle, sheath and webbing are compatible with all current issue digital desert camo worn today. 13 1/4-inches long overall.
