There's More to the Princess Line Than You Think

When one thinks of Disney Princess, one usually thinks of dolls, but there's much more to this fantastic franchise than that. In addition to the animated films that contain these specific characters, there are theme park rides, television shows, books, comics, and video games, plus merchandise that includes statues, wall murals, playsets, vehicles, mini-figures, banks, key chains, purses, tin totes, mugs, costumes, and more from a slew of manufacturers like Hasbro, Room Mates, Silver Buffalo, Enesco, Loungefly, Beast Kingdom, Monogram, and Tin Box Company. It's a Worldwide Phenomenon!

Few media franchises have had a greater impact on girls and collectors of all ages than the tremendous ongoing effects created by Jasmine from Aladdin, Mulan, and the rest of the Princess Line owned by The Walt Disney Company. From its inception in the early 2000s right up to today, this lovable lineup of fictional female protagonists has captured the hearts of young and old alike. And there's no end in sight.

Rapunzel from the Tangled film loosely based on the classic German fairytale was a rousing success, as was its sequel. The other heroines, their films, and much of the spinoff media and merchandise have also been well received, including Tiana who appeared in 2009's The Princess and the Frog and the eponymous star of Pocahontas, inspired by the Native American chief's daughter and the settlement of Jamestown, Virginia in 1607.

The only now question is, who will be the next adorable princess to join the line? We can't wait to see!
