Regardless of your allegiance, you have to admit that those exciting, action-packed confrontations between Prime and his long-time nemesis Megatron can be spellbinding. After all, what's a super-powerful hero without an equally (or almost equally) super-powerful villain to oppose him or her? Where's the fun and games in that?

Did you know that your hero was once known by this name? We kid you not! Per his G1 biography, he thusly began his existence as a rather defenseless robot dockworker long ago during the Golden Age of Cybertron. Reconstructed following his battle with Megatron, he became the first of the Autobot warriors. And the rest is history, as they say. In this case, a LOT of history!

And Who Is the Voice of Optimus Prime?

That's a darn good question, and here's the answer: Over the history of the franchise, that exceptionally imposing voice has come from greats the likes of Peter Cullen, David Kaye, Garry Chalk, Clancy Brown, Richard Epcar, Travis Willingham, Fred Tatasciore, John DiMaggio, Mark Harmon, Kevin Conroy, Kiefer Sutherland, Val Kilmer, Tom Hanks, Liam Neeson, and Michael Dorn. Impressive, huh?

The Enjoyment and Collecting Never End!

In Hasbro's "Unicron Trilogy" of Armada, Energon, and Cybertron (so-named because of the central role that planetary-proportioned robot plays in the overall storyline) and beyond, you should look for favorites like Prime and add their representations to your toybox or shelf. The possibilities are almost endless. Who knows, you might even come across Optimus Supreme, the combined form of Optimus and Omega Supreme from the animated series, waiting to join the other Cybertronians in your toy box or collector shelf!
