The Mego Corporation was a toy company that dominated the action figure toy market during most of the 1970s. The Mego Corporation was founded in 1954 by David Abrams and was mostly known prior to 1971 as a producer of housewares like egg timers. Marty Abrams, David's son, took over as the company's president in 1970 and moved Mego into the toy business.
Most modern Mego-style figures, including many pictured on this page, were produced with input from EMCE Toys.
