The Mummy
The Mummy is an American film directed by Alex Kurtzman and written by Jon Spaihts and Christopher McQuarrie. It's a reboot of The Mummy intended to be the first installment in the Universal Monsters shared universe. The film stars Tom Cruise, Sofia Boutella, Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson, Courtney B. Vance and Russell Crowe. Thousands of years ago, an ancient princess (Sofia Boutella), whose destiny was unjustly taken from her, was mummified and entombed in an ancient tomb buried deep beneath the desert. She awakens in the contemporary world, bringing with her a malevolent grudge that has grown over millennia and terrors that will defy all of humanity.
