For Kids and Adults, the Fun Never Stops with Playmobil!

Playmobil was the 1971 - 1974 brainchild of the "Father of Playmobil," German inventor Hans Beck. Today, it's a super-popular toy line produced by the Brandstätter Group and a major competitor to LEGO. Specifically designed for children ages 4 - 12, the toys are also owned and collected by adults, some of whom make movies with them. The line has grown from the initial sets of knights, Native Americans, and construction workers to include dozens of diverse themes, including mermaids, fairies, pirates, Vikings, jungle, western, farm, city life, hospital, police, school, zoo, Stone Age, and many more. Also, in addition to the signature (and adorable!) 3-inch tall human figures, there are now animals, buildings, cars, trucks, cranes, fire engines, trains, boats, and a myriad of different accessories comprising the playsets. And Playmobil has branched out into films, TV, video games, and amusement parks called FunParks.
