Kevin Wayne Durant is an American professional basketball player for the NBA's Seattle SuperSonics. A 6-foot 9-inch shooting guard/small forward, Durant was the consensus 2007 National College Player of the Year, in addition to being selected as the 2006-2007 Big 12 Player of the Year, amongst other awards. After his freshman season at the University of Texas, Durant opted to enter the NBA Draft, where he was selected second overall. Durant's older brother, Tony Durant, is a junior forward for Towson University.
